I was seven years old and couldn't yet reach the pedals of a piano — but I already had an accordion in my arms. What began as a child's curiosity in a small Slovenian village took me through decades of concert halls in Vienna, music academies in Ljubljana, and thousands of lessons with students around the world. Today I teach online — where music meets real people, wherever they are.

"I'm too old for this." — I hear it often. I don't believe it for a second.

In over 30 years of teaching I've sat across from adults of every age picking up a piano for the first time. Musical ability is not a gift you either have at birth or you don't. It grows through the right steps at the right time. I've guided hundreds of children and adults to their first real song.

Where it started: My first musical love wasn't Chopin — it was the joyful sound of Slovenian Oberkrainer folk music, made world-famous by Slavko Avsenik. Playing accordion as a child taught me something no university could: that music has to be felt before it can be played.

Training & career: I hold the degree MMag. — two complete Master's degrees: the first from the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, with accordion as my concert major — studying with Prof. Primož Parovel and Prof. Klemen Leben; the second from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (MDW): a Master's (Magisterium) in harpsichord as concert major, with Prof. Wolfgang Glüxam and Prof. Céline Frisch, and concurrently studied the organ as a concert subject in the Bachelor of Arts (BA) program under Wolfgang Capek in Vienna. In Ljubljana I also studied sacred music; my harpsichord studies there were with Prof. Egon Mihajlović. As a performing musician and teacher, I have performed and taught across Europe and around the world — and today I reach students online worldwide through ML Elite Online Music School, FreeKeys.com, and Klavierkostenlos.com — a global online music education project. I also studied audio engineering at the SAE Institute and have worked throughout all these years as a music producer, composer, and arranger, closely tied to the Slovenian music scene. The accordion was my main instrument for many years—keyboard, chromatic button, and diatonic, all types. During that time I taught at the highest international level, guiding students to outstanding results on international stages and competitions. I also wrote original compositions and virtuoso arrangements for diatonic accordion as a solo concert instrument—unique works that gained considerable recognition in Slovenia. That path eventually led me to piano and later to harpsichord and organ. The experience of learning new instruments at different stages of life shapes my teaching to this day. As a teacher, I bring more than 30 years of experience—across all keyboard instruments, the widest range of musical genres, and students of every age. Along the way I've pursued further studies with distinguished musicians including Mario Perestegie, Dalibor Miklavčič, Magdalena Hassibeder, Michael Stephanides, Erich Traxler, Augusta Campagne, Patrick Ayrton, and many others.

How I teach: My lessons start from where you are. For beginners: in your first lesson, we play a real song. For intermediate players: we find what's holding you back and work there. English and German, piano and keyboard, flexible scheduling.
